What will you do with your fire?
Main Course: And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity. It corrupts the whole body, and it sets the course of one’s life on fire and is itself set on fire by hell (James 3:6).
And the tongue is a fire. For believers in Christ, it is a WORLD of RIGHTEOUSNESS, NOT INIQUITY. It CORRECTS (NOT CORRUPTS) the whole body, and CHANGES/TURNS the direction of our entire lives. Now, we're set on a pathway to do the will of the Father that sent us by the power of His Word with the fire from heaven (not by hell). [This was an interpretation that was given to me by Holy Spirit about the tongue.]
We all have a fire - our tongue. Now, what are we going to do with it? We need to burn the victimization mindset, the slavery mentality, and the helpless attitude/demeanor.
Fire is known to be one of the fastest, most effective, and dangerous substances for change whether good or bad. We all as human beings have tongues, a fire. It's part of our human anatomy package.
Since faith is the SUBSTANCE of things hope for this means that faith falls in the same category as fire (Heb. 11:1). So, then the word that you confess daily with your mouth, the word of faith – what you want to happen (cf. Rms 4:17) is fire and its job is to burn up everything that is CONTRARY in your life to what you are speaking.
We were created in God’s own image and likeness. Therefore, we have the ability to speak as he did and create our own world. We are not helpless, we don’t have to be victims of our circumstances any longer, neither do we have to embrace a slavery mentality, a life of compromise and discontent to accommodate our limitations. This ability is "the fire." It has the power to change the course/direction of your life and create a world YOU love. Remember, we hate this world because Satan is temporarily the ruler/god of this world. But as sons of God, our world consists of loving and following Jesus Christ (living a righteous life).
Imagine the impact, severity, and magnitude of the tongue, .... it has the power to create WORLDS. What type of world do you see for yourself? Your tongue, the fire can change it (Gen. 13:17).
On the contrary, you may say what about those people who can’t speak? Answer: They are waiting on YOU to turn your life around, to use your fire to deliver them. This is what will happen when you use your tongue to change someone else’s world AFTER you’ve changed your own.
Ever wonder why things seem to take so long to manifest themselves? The reason is that we live in an evil world so when bad things are spoken, it is quickly picked up by evil or wicked spirits to make those things come true. Negative words are their territory so they take every and any opportunity to ultimately destroy you. But when you speak positive words and good things, they also happen; however, sometimes much slower because it is being fought by the powers of darkness to keep them from coming to pass. (This is where faith and patience come in, but that's another message for another time). But cheer up, you will always win and gain the victory. You are an overcomer!
Understandably, many will not take on the #challengeofchange because like steering a big ship, your life requires time and effort. But the reward is you get to live in your own world that you created! This goes #beyondyourbestlife, this is abundant life.
Our mind imagines/envisions it, and our tongue creates it; and like sisters and brothers, they work together harmoniously.
