A Backwards Blessing (Part IV)
So no matter what it looks like even a widow (a situation on its last leg), you can rest assured that whatever he tells you to do, the blessings has already been commanded so anchor your soul (Heb. 6:18; 13:8; Num. 23:19). On this foundation (Is. 28:16), we can expect Him to hand-deliver a wedding present that will be more than enough, but it will not be as you think, it’s going to be awkward and backwards (Is. 46:9-11). So, just wait until you see the salvation of the Lord with you. This is what Jesus did in the Garden of Gethsemane. He waited or travailed until he could see God’s deliverance, power and might. The joy – rewards - was set before him, which gave him the strength to endure to the end and complete His mission. Likewise if you stand in your place in Christ and be on the look out to see what he will say to you, he will show you the things to come (Hab. 2:1; Jerm 33:3; cf. Prov. 8:3-4; Ps. 27:14; cf. Rev. 2:29). Our prayer should be Lord, open my ears to hear and know the instruction you have for me (cf. Ps. 51:6).
The fact that God has given you an instruction is proof that he has already commanded a blessing. Don’t delay yourself any longer. Are you ready for a backwards blessing? (Deut. 28:8, I Cor. 1:20).
