Trust the Wind (Part II)

Why worship? Because it is the only divine presence that’s accessible to us by our spirit from heaven that is powerful and potent enough to destroy the negative images (2 Cor. 10:4; cf. Jerm. 1:10). They are the web of lies and deceit implanted and ingrained in the fiber of our soul from the residue of sin (Matt. 13:24-30). Remember, the only thing standing between us and trusting God our Father is a lie, an illusion, an image that is mirrored (like a sound that reverberates) throughout our soul. There is a piece of advice that Bruce Lee’s mentor gave him in the movie, “Enter the Dragon” to take down a kingpin and that is this: “The enemy hides between his images; destroy the images and you’re kill the enemy.”

My friend, if we want to truly experience the life of Christ that is inside of us, then we must come to trust (learn) as Jesus did with His Father every waking moment of the day (Col. 1:27; Jn. 5:19, 30; 8:28). The ability to trust, rely and depend on God is innate because of our born-again spirit (Jn. 1:12-13; 1 Jn. 4:4; 5:4-5); but it must be cultivated, activated or nourished in a certain environment, which is the Spirit (just like moving a plant from one space to another to receive the necessary nourishment required for growth and development (Jn. 15:1-8; 1 Pet. 2:9-10; cf. 1 Jn. 3:14).

Under the Spirit’s total control means that Jesus totally trusted God and His experience was solidified every time he fellowshipped with the Father (1 Jn. 1:7). It empowered Him to walk in total confidence of all things because he worshipped; He lived/dwelled in God’s presence at the throne.

I will end with this very important thought: Just like when you're ready to purchase a major, big ticket item (i.e. house or car), you tend to have a short list of “must-haves” and/or “deal breakers.” On a similar note, worship is ranked high on the list of “must-haves” for those who want to obtain their inheritance/destiny (Acts 20:32; 2 Cor. 1:20). Are you ready for your life to change?
