The Ultimate Achilles Heel (Part II)

Our emotions are like unruly kids, children running wild and everybody knows a household like that can never produce anything good. Emotions and sight are enemies unless they are managed, under the control /authority of the Word, period. Like wearing metal braces that’s been bonded on the teeth for a period of time, so likewise our soul must be placed under surveillance and controlled until it learns its proper place. Only then will we experience healing and change in our life that yields the kind of fruit that pleases God (Heb.11:6). Our emotions and sight/senses are our biggest weakness, vulnerability when it comes to trusting God. The remnant of sin, the old nature and un-renewed mind is still buried deep in the crater of our souls which results in falling short, a false destiny every time (Rms. 3:23).

However, we can reach our true destiny in Christ (righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost, Rms. 14:17), by gauging and monitoring our decisions every day, every time we are required to trust God. We must fill our mind and hearts with the Word so when the time comes for us to walk in it, exercise, put it to use we won’t falter, fall short of giving God glory (Ps. 119:11; Rms. 4:20-21).
