A house divided cannot stand
Main Course: If a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand (Mark 3:25) NIV
We usually interpret this phrase collectively to mean that we must come together as believers and be unified so we can stand against the enemy’s plan. But have you ever thought about this scripture in terms of yourself individually, more specifically your thought life? The only real reason why your thoughts are contrary and run your life is because they have support. They are strengthened by your defiance, disobedience, rebellion, negligence or slowfulness). You see, they cannot stand if you begin to side with the word of God; they must fall (the stronghold of worthless fears, doubts, and unbelief).
When you meditate on the Word of God, your old thought patterns will begin to disintegrate. Divided by Truth that has invaded its territory, the fortress of darkness, your old thought life cannot stand. Its house will crumble and fall. The Word divides according to Hebrews 4:12 and therefore, all falsehood is exposed and falls.
During this process of mind conversion, your support, time and energy of your thought life (daily agreement with God’s Word) now shifts and partners with Truth, and anything else doesn’t have a leg to stand on.
Is your house (life) divided? Has your life been divided by the Word of God so that wrong thinking doesn’t have a leg to stand on. The Word is active, a live agent that transforms you to be one with Him; and in this oneness we are made perfect in Him (we are able to abide in Him, do His Will and produce after our own kind) 2 Corinthians 10:5; John 15:1-5; Matthew 28:18-20. What a paradox to ponder.
