3 Main Reasons for our Existence as Believers - Part III

Reproduce after own kind: Once we reach a certain level of maturity, we are required to reproduce for the kingdom. Just like a girl who grows up, gets married and has children produced from union of her spouse, likewise, when we make Jesus our Lord and Savior, we are joined together with Him. We are betrothed to him and become His spiritual wife and have offspring by doing His Will (Hos. 2:19). Others should be positively affected by our lives and desire to know more about Jesus. Our passion for Christ should persuade others to ask, “What must I do to be saved.” “Lord, teach us to pray.” “Explain God’s word to me.” Acts 16:30; Luke 11:1-4; Acts 8:30-31

Now that we are in Christ, we can fulfill our commandment to replenish the earth (Gen. 1:27-28). As sinners in darkness, we reproduced after the flesh; but now that we are in the Light, we reproduce after the spirit as sons and daughters of God (Jn 15:1-5). Jesus was the first born among many brethren (Rms. 8:29). Jesus mentored 12 disciples; He produced after His own kind and He expects us to do the same (Matt. 28:19; Mark 16:15). There is no excuse: if you are married you are expected to raise up godly seed, for the unmarried you are expected to teach and train others in the fear of God as he has taught you. Everyone is responsible for someone. Whatever God has given you should be shared with others (Jn. 16:14).

These 3 focus areas are the framework and parameters in which we are to work, be about our Father’s business, conformed to His image to reproduce after our own kind. What is your focus? You may need to re-align your life to what is true - kingdom reality.
