The Anointed Yoke - Part I

Main Course: Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart; and ye shall find rest unto your souls (Matt. 11:29; cf. Ps. 23: 1-3).

Just the term alone is a turn-off to many. It brings up feelings and emotions of abuse, injustice, suffering, pain and all things bad. And I too had a bad taste in my mouth because I defined the word in the natural sense and not in its spiritual significance. The anointed yoke is really just the opposite of what we have experienced. It's too bad that by the time God gets to us that the devil has already done a number on us, traumatized us almost seemingly beyond repair. But we know that the blood of Jesus is a cure-all because He was the perfect sacrifice (Heb. 10:14). So we can experience healing and restoration to the deepest level whenever the occasion calls for it to do so (cont'd).
