Prioritize your purpose, not your problems

Main Course: "I am the seer," Samuel replied. "Go up ahead of me to the high place, for today you are to eat with me, and in the morning I will send you on your way and will tell you all that is in your heart (1 Samuel 9:19).

Ask yourself, "Why am I here?" Answer: To seek the Lord, not to try and solve your problems. This is your priority, period.

We don’t have a money problem; it is our mindset about money. We have already been given the mindset: seek first the kingdom of God (His work - his plan, his purpose) and his righteousness (the way he wants you take), and all these other things will be added to us (Matt 6:33; cf. 2 Pet 1:3). But we also have to be content in whatever state we find ourselves in life (whether on the mountain top or in the valley low) so that he has no power over us (1 Jn 4:4; 2 Cor 4:8-10; Philip. 4:11-13; Jn 14:30).

There is a difference between someone who does good and someone who is good. The world mis-labels people and there is a large gathering of acceptance, but it is distorted. They label people by what they do, not by who they are. That’s why I give to those who are good IN MY SIGHT (those that seek me, not those that seek “good” – to be good or to do good (Eccles 2:26; Ps 84:11). And how can you determine if they are good in your sight, Lord? “Because they call on the name of the LORD when they are in trouble, they look to none else to deliver them but Me” (Ps. 91:14-15). “This is the good that I created in man – His ability to call upon me in trouble and not resort to evil to deliver himself.” For Him to know and recognize that I am God and God alone, and besides Me there is not another (Is. 46:9). This is good and this is what I reward – the unimaginable, unthinkable, and the unexplainable (Heb. 11:6b; Ps. 20; Eph. 3:20). Look at Daniel, Esther, Joseph, Job, David, Paul, all icons of faith (Heb 11). Those who show great faith in the midst of fierce opposition cannot be moved or shaken because the enemy has no power/control over them” (cf. Is. 28:16).

If you will prioritize your purpose (seek the Lord with your whole heart) your problems won’t matter (they won’t have any power over you anymore). They will become obsolete because you have crossed over into a place in your heart, mind, soul and spirit where you can now see the LORD high and lifted up (Is. 6:1). Then you will be in a position to hear all that is in thine heart, from God everything concerning you and His path for your life (1 Sam 9:19). This is the “secret” of the secret place of thunder (cf. Ps. 81:7; Deut. 8:2).

Do you know and understand your purpose? If you don’t, the struggle with your problems is just symptoms of a larger issue – priorities. If your priorities are not properly aligned to the kingdom of God and His righteousness, you have not found the path of life yet (His life for you). Follow Him. Learn where he feeds and makes His flock rest at noon day. There you will find him and the path for your life (Ps.16:11; Song 1:7-8; Matt 11:28-30).
