Marriage, a Partnership for Life

Main Course: "But the person who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with him" (1 Corinthians 6:17).

Marriage is a wonderful partnership and expression of love between a man and a woman. They are committed to one another to help bring about the will of God for each other. Marriage symbolizes and exemplifies the love God has for his own family, for each of us. Ephesians 5:31-32 says, “A man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife, and the two are united into one.”[b] 32 This is a great mystery, but it is an illustration of the way Christ and the church are one. Let us leave the world behind, forsake all and follow Jesus (be reunited, become one with Him) to please the Father through the power of Holy Spirit. Oneness in Christ is full of surprises because He always has good things in store for us (Jerm. 29:11).

Above all, marriage to Jesus (your one-on-one relationship with Him) is the only thing worth dying or living for. Are you ready to be married to the Eternal Savior? His eternal commitment to you is expressed everyday. He will never leave you or forsake you (Heb. 13:5).
